Principals Message
Welcome! I am so excited to be with the amazing staff and students at Central Davie Academy. From the moment I became part of this unique school, I was warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. My focus for the 2022-2023 school year is readiness, relationships and rigor. I want to work with staff, families and students to ensure we establish a relationship built on teamwork and trust. I will do everything I can to support teachers and staff members so that we can be ready for our students by providing a safe and nurturing environment. Given the small size of Central Davie Academy and it’s individualized approach to academics, behavior and social-emotional well-being, we will work closely with home schools to master intervention plans and when goals are met, work with students to successfully transition back to their home schools.
Ms. Maglio has been in education for 26 years, with a strong background in Exceptional Children. She attended Appalachian State University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Mrs. Maglio later received a Master’s in Executive Leadership from Gardner-Webb University.
She has taught in both private and public settings at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Since 2018 she has worked at Davie County High School as an EC Program Specialist and Assistant Principal.
